Indian Engineering Exports started the new fiscal with a decline of 3.2% year-on-year touching exports at US$ 8.67 billion in April 2024.
During April 2024, 16 out of 34 engineering sub-sectors saw positive year-on-year growth compared to the same period last year.
The top five export destinations that experienced positive growth in April 2024 were USA, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Singapore and UK.
North America and European Union remained India's topmost destinations for engineering exports with total share of 40% in India's total engineering exports. North East Asia registered the highest growth in April 2024.
