It all started way back in 1984, when Jörg became singer of a band called Midnight Darkness. The band from Oberhausen, Germany was founded by guitarist Detlef Poschmann and bassplayer Klaus Petereit in 1983. Detlef and Jörg took over the songwriting and the band was signed by GAMA records in 1985. They released their first album "Holding The Night" later that year, but split up shortly after.

In 1987 Detlef, Jörg & Klaus continued playing together in a band called BornChild. Though they toured a lot, the band never made it to a record deal. As a result they parted ways again in 1989.

After a creative evening in Detlef's studio in 2004, both decided to form a new band. Past M.D. was the chosen name, as a hint to the "glorious" Midnight Darkness days. Well aware that it's hard enough to find dedicated musicians, who are willing to put their heart and soul into one band ( a typical german problem? ), they decided to keep control over the entire project. Plenty of line-up changes proved them right. It's exactly the reason why they are currently back on their own, doin' what they've done over the last 15+ years ... playing acoustic shows, mostly under the flag of Dos Hombres.

But they won't stop believin' cause in the end, there's nothing better than hitting a stage with a working band. So, if you feel the same way, you're a drummer, guitarist, bass- or piano- player, you like the music, you're sure to have the time and Past M.D. could be your priority instead of being last in an endless line of hobbies, go ahead and get in contact.
