MARY FREY /// REAL LIFE DRAMAS

+++ New Book out now +++
+++ Vernissage in Cologne: 8.9.2018 +++

When Mary Frey’s book READING RAYMOND CARVER was released in 2017, many people rubbed their eyes in astonishment: Why don’t I know Mary Frey? What happened, that more than 30 years had to pass before these grandiose pictures are publicly shown?

It’s not exactly like that. /// more

ANGELA BRöHAN /// HERE, THERE AND EVERYWHERE

There are places, well I wouldn’t even be able to fantisize them in my wildest dreams. And to be honest, I barely see them.

Hannes Wanderer /// A Thousand Miles Behind

A Thousand Miles Behind
Hannes Wanderer talks about the work of Bob Dylan
Just one song per session / First appearance of this kind

Friday, 8. June _ 7 pm
Micamera – via Medardo Rosso, 19 – Milan

I think (and know) that there is a relation between pop music and photobooks. I learned more about the making of photobooks from songs, albums and concerts than from studying other books
– Hannes Wanderer

Hannes Wanderer is a bookmaker in the first place and many know him as the publisher of Peperoni Books. So it’s no wonder that his lectures are about making photobooks. What most people don’t know is that Hannes Wanderer is also an explorer of popular music and an enthusiast when it comes to the oceanic work of Bob Dylan as a writer and even more as a performer.

MAX SHER /// PALIMPSESTS

+++ signed copies +++

Ok, it’s a bit a matter of the photographer’s approach, his choice of motifs and the way he uses color. But still, it’s astonishing how the pictures are alike. Max Sher visited 70 places, in Russia and post-Soviet countries, and photographed the architecture and urban landscape as seen and experienced there in everyday life. /// more
