I am currently enjoying an interesting opportunity as
Service Manager for BTC IT-Services (BITS)
WHY ? Simply because I wish to further my development. Here I see an opportunity in which I am able to expand my windows system exposure and improve the company with the skill-set I bring to the table.
and as expected the gravity of my past technology experiences has drawn me right back in. The opportunity to work in Field Service for BTC is quite interesting as I now get to work in a team of interesting professionals with great humor keeping important Companies running by taking care of everyday IT tasks.
From 2021 until September of 2023 I chose to work as a Sitemanager for Schloss Türnich.
This job was full of challenges and a great opportunity to experience working in a more “low tech job”.
Repairs, welding, maintenance, operating tractors, excavators, forklifts ,driving with trailers and all, supporting events such as christmas markets and company outings on the castle grounds.
I also implemented a Shelly Smart Home Solution to make turning on lights and managing consumption easier…could not stop myself. So my time at Schloss Türnich with the Hoensbroich family ended in September 2023 . I give thanks to all the benevolent people I meet during the years here.
During 2018 and 2021 restoring my health and getting back to speed I was the most important task. Many may wonder why I chose to change from IT to taking care of the requirements of Schloss Türnich and helping to make the upcoming permaculture projects successful. For me the decision was easy as I no longer wanted to spend my day in front of a screen doing senseless tasks.
Also my body demands more fresh air and movement as well as interaction with more pleasant people.
After visiting the Off-Grid Workshop in 2017 and 2019 adding some skills I am very motivated to learn more about the Off-Grid Industry as this is a very international and inspiring group of people I met and have been involved in Urban Gardening, Permaculture and Forst-Gardening Projects since about 2003. I have my own Off-Grid garden Project in which I have been observing and experimenting with the clever designs of nature. With great interest in Permaculture and Forest Gardening I have been attending various workshops since 2003 and have broadened my horizon.
As a technician I have been experimenting with Temperature and Humidity Measurement with my Rasbery Pis, Providing sustainable Energy via my PV installation and I would love to work in Off-Grid Projects and the upcoming IoT area and learn a ton of new beautiful things. Also I enjoy to making concepts that come to life and are of high value for Companies/Society/People that care about its employees and also the environment as much as its their market value and ROI.

After a few months of Sabbatical in 2017, and various workshops I am now a certified Scrum Master and am venturing into Agile Methods of Project Management.
One I was a Certified Apple Macintosh Systemadministrator and Certified Elektrotechnical Assistant. This was good for getting a great understanding of electrical appliances and devices while working with interesting customers.
